technique? wala naman akong technique, but what i can share with others is my making cleaning a habit. well, siguro dahil madalas akong nasa harap ng PC kaya ganon.
generally pag madalas ka maglinis, anytime na may tumingin, hahanga sila di lang sa PC kundi sa may-ari na rin.

wehehe.
i'm not sure what type of brush causes static electricity, but i've been using a black 12mm paintbrush. never used a toothbrush! basahan? yup, sa labas ng casing; madalang sa loob.
meshed yung front ng casing ko kaya talagang magkakaroon ng alikabok sa harap, though, may filter naman yung mesh. one time tinanggal ko. magandang tingnan from the outside pero three to four days lang madumi na agad yung blades ng mga intake fans ko. so i decided to put the filters back na lang. everytime i turn on my PC, i brush the front mesh muna. ika nga, pampagana.
i wish i could get a compressor or a blower kaso gusto ko yung maliit lang pero medyo malakas din. i plan to use it sa mga fins ng zalman cnps9500 at sa mga sulok na mahirap abutin ng ordinary brush.
vacuum? yup, especially if you're trying to limit dust from flying away, say, kung merong may hika sa house mo or kung yung merienda eh malapit sa PC mo.
kung nagyoyosi ka, i suggest baklasin mo yung keyboard mo, that is, kung kaya mo ibalik. brushing alone is not enough to take out dust and ashes within. if you can't do it, avoid smoking na lang while seated in front of your PC.
here's my current rig:
so what i can suggest really is agapan yung alikabok. cleaning becomes easy kapag di masyadong marumi yung nililinis mo, di ba?
